Кожен, хто вчить англійську, рано чи пізно зіштовхнеться з поняттям «фразові дієслова». Чому це не просто «дієслова», а саме «фразові» - пояснення вже закладене у самій назві цього явища – тому що це дієслова, які потрібно сприймати цілісно, не розбиваючи їх на окремі поняття.
Наприклад, cut– означає «різати», in– це «в», а cutin– означає «підрізати на дорозі» або ж «втручатись у розмову». Такі дієслова складаються з власне дієслова (яке ще називається смисловим – тобто несе найбільше смислове навантаження), та одного або кількох прийменників.
Я своїм учням пропоную з цією темою працювати комплексно – вивчати максимум прийменників для одного і того ж дієслова, але давати собі час на запам’ятовування, виокремлення його від інших шляхом асоціацій. Сьогодні детально поговоримо про наступні фразові дієслова:
