Is animal testing necessary?
Actually, we have a lot of different views on this topic. On the one hand, some people believe that animals are totally suitable for all our needs, as creatures, and for testing different chemical products, for example. But, on the other hand, other people feel that something is wrong with this situation and we need to take particular steps to decrease the number of tested animals or even to stop it at all.
I am totally sure that if we are discussing questions like this, it means that we already gained a relatively high level of humanity. Consequently, I believe that it shows us that we are going in the right direction. Nevertheless, we have a lot of serious problems and we need to find the best solutions to each of them because we are the smartest creatures on this beautiful planet.
One of these opened questions is to decide what we can do with this approach to test different chemicals on animals. We are, actually, faced with a great moral issue here and it is important to mention that this is a totally complex topic not only to discuss but also to decide how we can deal with that. From my point of view, it is valuable to realize that these animals are also live creatures. Thus, in this situation it is absolutely clear for me that we do not have a chance to stop these methods of testing at all but, nevertheless, maybe, it is real to find a way how to decrease significantly the level of tested animals.
In conclusion, I want to summarize my points about this quite important problem not only of our morality but also about our approaches to living and consuming. At first, we need to decline the number of tested animals and then we will get the possibility to stop these methods at all and I guess that new technologies should help us.
