I hold a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Addis Ababa University, and I've spent the past year tutoring math and STEM subjects online, working with students from grade 5 through grade 11, including state exam preparation.

My teaching approach centers on understanding, not memorization. I break topics into small, manageable steps, use visual tools and diagrams to make abstract ideas concrete (for example, decomposing complex shapes into triangles and rectangles to find area), and adjust my pace to how each student is actually progressing rather than following a fixed script.

I create custom materials for every student — worksheets, diagnostic assessments, and practice problems — so lessons stay relevant to their specific curriculum and pace. My engineering background also means I bring real problem-solving experience into how I explain math, connecting classroom concepts to how they're actually used.

Students I've worked with have shown steady improvement in both confidence and grades, and I focus on making sure they leave every session able to explain the "why," not just the "how."
