I am interested in the sphere of international relations and political affairs, as the main dialogue platform for improving and securitizing the lives of individuals and communities in the era of globalization and global politics.
I have completed my Bachelor degree heaving Upper Second Class Honours, with one year of experience in intercultural relations and administrative duties as a residential warden in the student accommodation of Oxford Brookes University and one and a half years of experience in the sphere of the customer service as a part-time catering assistant. I am a native Ukrainian and Russian language speaker and fluent in English with excellent communication skills and good experience of interaction with people from different cultural and social backgrounds.
My degree in History and International Relations has enabled me to develop excellent research, evaluation, and analytical skills in completing different tasks, involving group participation and personal researches. Throughout my education, I have effectively demonstrated competence in meeting commitments for the researching, summarizing, and interpreting of the information for the assignments, observing deadlines and achieving high results. I have successfully undertaken various group projects and role-playing simulation negotiations, which allowed me to develop excellent conceptual skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve the highest marks. Participation in university course assignments and researches allowed me to develop a good knowledge of political systems, international relations theories, and international affairs but also gave me good experience of multitasks, strategic thinking, initiative-taking, and managing performances.
The residential warden role gave me a good experience of the administrative job and allowed me to develop effective use of listening, communicating, and organization skills to cope with different situations and respond quickly and calmly in an emergency. I have effectively demonstrated the ability to monitor one hundred and forty-nine students and remain calm in a stressful situation, which involves the use of conflict resolution skills and first aid. The role of warden gave me the ability to communicate and cooperate with people from different sections of society.
As a result of my experience, both professional and academic, I consider these skills and knowledge will help me in helping other students in developing their English.
